Clanmatch Results
Results against PMS Charlie Division
We have wanted to play against the PMS clan for a very long time. Ever since our first encounter with them we were impressed by their sportsmanship and they complimented ours. Friend request were exchanged and a relationship was struck. Deadly Miho PMS kept in contact with us and eventually got us in contact with PMS LizzyMurder who was trying to organize a competitive team within the Charlie Division. Anticipation for this clanmatch reached a climax on the Tuesday before the match when both clans gathered for a "meet and greet". Read on to find out how this clanmatch ends.
- This clanmatch started on Thursday, November 30th at 10:28pm central time.
- The total match duration including lobby time was 1hr 3min.
- There were a total of 5 games played in this match (2CTF, 2 Oddball & 1 Slayer).
- 11 players participated; 6 represented the Winged Warriors, 5 represented the PMS Charlie Division.
Out of the gate we were hit hard by the PMS girls in what would be the only four on four game of the night. Battle rifles echoed in the small halls on warlock as players echanged bullets and kills. Seventy-six kills per team to be exact. The girls of PMS Charlie were playing surprisingly better than they had on the Tuesday before. Nearly eleven minutes later the game was over, and although Charlie's Angels had matched us kill for kill they were unable to match our captures. Through teamwork and communication the Winged Warriors were able to stop eight of the nine flag steals the PMS squad tried. As a result of this strong defense our offense was able to operate like a well oiled machine.

Oddball - a favorite gametype among the Winged Warriors because of it's emphasis on teamwork and strategy. This game started out harsh, just like the first one, with both teams rattling off battle rifle kills constantly from the start. We would kill as many of the girls as we could, grab the ball, and attempt to pull it away from them - they would do the same. Control of the ball and the map bounced back and forth from team to team throughout the match and again the ladies from the Charlie division were not lacking in kills. Make sure you check out the stats on this game because what happened after all eight thousand three hundred and fifty-two (8352) bullets were fired is pretty incredible. Bart stacked up fifty kills, Simmons earned a kill frenzy, Ownage PMS had more than a minute of ball time and an impressive forty-two kills, and PMS JennaMurder had thirty-three kills and twenty-six assists. All of the stats aside the Winged Warriors won by fifty-six seconds in a decisive victory.

The first game that the Charlie girls chose was a Sniper Rifle start?! As you might guess, chaos ensued and both teams were hurled into panic induced attempts to steal the flag from the center and return it to their base. We pulled ahead early with a commanding three to one lead. Then the Charlie division stopped going easy on us. They came to life and rallied together for a comeback. The Winged Warriors watched as the game slipped out of our control and the girls ran away on a four and zero streak thus taking the win.

Game IV: Oddball on Gemini - Kicking & Screaming
I've been told that the Charlie Ladies enjoy playing lowball games, with that knowledge it was no surprise that they made it one of their two choices. These girls came to life again in this game and they played their hearts out in this 'down-to-the-wire' match. That made it extremely difficult to get all of our players to the thirty second time goal required to win the game. We had a pretty good lead in the beginning but it's always hard to tell who's really winning in a lowball game becuase the score only reflects the team's player with the lowest amount of time. Both teams killed and stole the ball for small periods of time with no real decisive strong holds until the Ladies set up their defense on the outside 'patio'. Once they had built their outdoor fortress it was slaughter for the Winged Warriors. We hurled ourselves at their defenses for minutes with no results. We had to recollect and deliberately attack from different angles at the same time before we were able to steal back the ball. They had racked up a great deal of time for more than one of their players and we had to make up ground fast. We now knew where not to allow the ball to go and we gathered our own tattered defenses on the indoor parts of the map. A few minutes later both teams had twenty-nine seconds and only needed one player to hold the ball for just one second to win the game. This lasted for an eternity as both players (XXmrbenXX & Ownage PMS) would try to hold the ball with the help of their team and die before they could score the single second. I don't know about the girl's team but we were screaming and yelling as we frantically tried to assist our last player in his attempt to score. Somebody got a killtacular, and that was enough to let Ben respawn and score the final second.

This was another game that came down to the end before it was decided. The PMS Charlie Division Ladies shined in this match as their snipers were able to utilize the wide open spaces on a map they love to play. Their sniping was a good, but what made things even more difficult for us was that Simmons 2pt0 was in the paint (a common term for players who's connection is red which indicates they are about to lag out of a game) for most of the game and he eventually lost his connection. The resulting disadvantage is normally non-existant in our clanmatches because we've learned to set F.E.T. (or Force Even Teams) to even the odds. We were supposed to play "WW Team 100" which we had agreed upon, but because both teams muted each other for a competitive edge meant that the communication in between games was hard. When PMS started the game we were playing with force even teams off. Thankfully Simmons lagged out near the end and that was the only major connection issue we had throughout the whole match. PMS won the final game by three points. Even after winning they exhibited their sportsmanship and offered to replay the entire match because of our connection problems.

Match Summary
This clanmatch with the PMS Ladies from their Charlie Division was fun. Albeit we didn't get to know them much because of the muted microphones we still enjoyed the games. After the match was over I asked them to unmute us and thanked them for the games and told them how I was surprised at their level of skill and impressive competition. For some reason most of them quickly removed all of us from their friends list shortly after the match. While we're still not sure what the problem was we'd be happy to play them again if they ever challenge us to a rematch. Thanks again to the Ladies from the PMS Charlie Division for the competition and challenge.
