Warming Up With Team Textosterone

Winged Warriors Battle The New Team Textosterone In Their First Clan Match

    The newly formed Team Textosterone chose to challenged the Winged Warriors for their first clan match. We sent out a four man team of players from Team Phoenix and Team Pegasus - Pastemaster decided to call it Team "Phoenasus". When we met up before the match we played a casual MLG FFA (Free-For-All, Major League Gaming Rules) game on Midship. After the last shot was fired both teams were ready to go and the clan match was underway.

Game One

    The first game was Team Slayer BR on Lockout. From the start Team "Phoenasus" (combination of Team Phoenix and Team Pegasus) was engaged in a trench war with Textosterone. Countless bullets were exchanged, and Textosterone broke out to an early lead. However, the clutch teamwork of "Phoenasus" and Simmons 2pt0's turn around in kills sealed the victory for the match.

Game Two

    The second game was Oddball on the same map. "Phoenasus" made an all out rush for the ball and was successful. Team Phoenix's leader said "the team that controlled the sword and the blue room (room under the lift) gained at least a minute and a half before control was lost." Luckily, "Phoenasus" controlled both more than Textosterone and this led to a second win in the match for Team "Phoenasus".

Game Three

    The third game was Multi flag on everybody's favorite map, Beaver Creek. The game was different than previous flag games on this map, because the overshield was very rarely used. Well as the game progressed, flag captures were traded until the game was tied at two captures a piece. A well executed flag rush by "Phoenasus" sealed the game and gave them their third consecutive win in the clan match.

Game Four

    The next game on the list was a Winged Warrior's favorite, MLG CTF on Midship. The game started as an all out brawl for control of the map, which was exchanged the entire duration of the game. Team Phoenix's leader said "Whoever had control of the map captured the flag." Since "Phoenasus" had greater control over one of Halo 2's smallest maps they were able to convert control into captures and come away with their fourth consecutive win in the match.

Game Five

    The final game was chosen by Lacrimosa of Team Textosterone and Pieter ( a.k.a. Night Rider 7) of the Winged Warriors. So Team Slayer on Ascension it was. The game boiled down into a fight for control of the snipers and the rockets. Each team controlled at least one sniper and the rockets for about half of the game. However, much to the dismay of "Phoenasus", Textosterone's control of the banshee near the end was key to their victory and their upset of Team "Phoenasus". The feelings of "Phoenasus" was expressed by Team Phoenix's leader during the game when he uttered the words "no not the banshee" every time he saw that purple contraption take flight.

Summary

    In the end the combined team of Team Phoenix and Team Pegasus were victorious in four of the five games played. Team Textosterone is very talented groups of players and their strategies were a challenge to overcome. We look forward to facing them on the battlefield in the near future.
