Here is a collection of questions that we receive on a regular basis. Please read on to learn more about our clan and how it is run. If you have a question that is not answered here? Please contact us with your question, and if we get the same question frequently it will be added to this FAQ.
A. Yes, if you receive a tryout invitation.
A. Fill out this tryout application and mail it in to winged-warriors@comcast.net. If we like your application and have an opening we will send you an invitation for a tryout.
A. If you receive a tryout invitation here are a few things you can expect. Our tryout consists of two stages; the first is the performance stage, in which your communication, teamwork and slaying ability is judged, and the second stage is an interview with the overlord and team leaders. Only players who pass the first stage receive an interview. In addition, tryouts are never the same; many times the tryout facilitator will choose which games they would like to see the players perform in so they can better gauge certain aspects of their abilities and skills.
A. The Winged Warriors hold tryouts when they have openings in the clan. The majority of the timing depends on our Current State of the Clan (CSoC) Which is explained briefly in the next question.
A. The Winged Warriors limit the number of members in order to protect the clan's internal integrity. Anytime the clan receives an infusion of a new player or group of players it takes time to get those players operating to clan battle standards and functioning well within their team. Having a controlled number of members allows us to control the learning process for the rookies and maximize their efficiency before beginning the process again with more new players. This is a large part of the CSoC.
A. Yes, but you must reapply. If you failed the first stage then we suggest you practice before trying again.
A. Of course; the Winged Warriors are always willing to play against your clan in a match. We are always looking for new opponents to test our teamwork and strategies. Also if you clan proves to be a worthy opponent, we are also looking for teams to practice with. For more information visit our battles page.
A. Aside from matchmaking we usually play a five game format with a variety of maps and objectives in the games. The clan with the most wins after all five games is the winner. However, we are open to other clan match formats and any suggestions that your clan may have.
A. Most of the Winged Warriors have known each other for years, most since around the release of Halo 2. The clan was originally founded on November 9th 2004 under the name "Night Riderz". Then on January 21st, 2005 the “Night Riderz” split, and the two resulting clans were the JEDI SPEC OPS and the current Winged Warriors.
