Weeks before the date of the clan match, the Warriors began a process to determine which of their competitive squads would face the One Shot Legends. Team Phoenix and Team Ambrose prepared their strategies and completed the scrimmage. After the dust settled, Team Phoenix with a 3-2 victory was chosen.
For the majority of the game the Warriors stood toe to toe with the superior sniping skill of the One Shot Legends. However, in the last few minutes the OSL pulled away and took the victory in game one by a margin of 11 kills.
From the start of the game, both teams pressed towards the center for control of the map and power weapons. Countless bullets were exchanged and flag grabs thwarted. In the end the Warriors were out matched in kills and captures.
From start to end, the game was an all out brawl for territory control. In round one the Warriors were on defense and the superior slaying ability of the One Shot Legends allowed them to take four territories. In round two the Warriors were on the offensive and immediately pressed against the defensive wall of OSL. Unfortunately the well placed OSL defense allowed them to constantly hinder our ability to take more than two territories. Then round three began and the Warriors knew that they needed to hold OSL to three territories in order to have a shot at victory, allowing four slip would result in a tie, and a complete loss of territory control would result in an insurmountable score. From the start of the round the Warriors strengthened their defense and held off the OSL attack, only allowing a few territories to slip through. However, late in the round the Warriors defense was broken and the One Shot Legends came away with four territories. At the start of round four the Warriors knew they needed to capture all five to tie the game. Even though the Warriors were able to push back the OSL defense, a few unorganized attacks led to the Winged Warriors loss in game three and a loss in the clan match.
The members of the One Shot Legends were extremely skilled slayers and their teamwork was excellent. The loss showed Team Phoenix that they need to improve and become a more cohesive unit.
