Winged Warriors vs. CE United

    A little while back we received a challenge from VVilly of CE United. After a few brief matchmaking encounters, we were able to hammer out the details and successfully schedule a match between our two clans.

Game I - Multi-Flag on Valhalla

    The game began and both teams made a rush for laser. After a brief struggle the Winged Warriors came out victorious. With laser in hand the Warriors looked to control the map. Unfortunately, CE United was able to speed by our defenses and pull off an amazing mongoose capture in the first few minutes of the game. In response the Warriors locked down map control and were able to organize a successful flag run. With the game tied at 1-1, CE United made a crucial mistake. One of the Winged Warriors was able to successfully hi jack their banshee. Now with two banshees and laser control, the Warriors pushed hard and fast and ended with a win.

Game II - Team Slayer on The Pit

    After the win in game one, the Winged Warriors were confident, maybe too confident. From the start both teams were evenly match. As one team gained a lead the other would immediately snatch it away. As both teams reached the forties the game was back and forth. Near the end both teams were tied at 48. Unfortunately for the Winged Warriors, CE United was able to effectively come away with two more kills and take the win in the game.

Game III - Oddball on WW Ghost Town

    For those who are unfamiliar with WW Ghost Town, it is exactly the same as Ghost Town except the equipment was removed in order to prevent what we call, "bubble shield defense." At the beginning the Winged Warriors were in the drivers' seat, as their seemingly foolproof strategy allowed them to rack up points. However, late in the game, CE United was able to successfully infiltrate the Warrior stronghold and secure the ball. Fortunately for the Warriors, their teamwork allowed them to regain the coveted ball and end the game 250-41.

Game IV - One Bomb on High Ground

    Going into the fourth game the Winged Warriors knew if they pulled out a win or a tie they would be victorious in the match. In round one the Warriors were on defense, even though they were able to stop CE United's initial rush, they were unable to hold off CE United for the entire round. At the start of the second round the Warriors made an all out rush and initially were unsuccessful. However, through opportune kills the Winged Warriors were able to come away with a successful plant and tie the game at 1-1. In round three the Warriors knew that this was time they needed to make a stand and this time around the Winged Warriors were able to hold off CE United and keep the game tied at 1. In the final round the Warriors knew the match was already won, but they pushed forward and through clutch kills and a lucky plant the Warriors were able to seal the victory in both the game and the match.

Summary
